Photography has been a passion of mine since I was a little girl, but I’ve always wanted to turn my photos into stories. Ever since I was a kid I have loved nature, art, and telling stories, but it wasn’t until I got one of those little kiddy cameras that I really fell in love with taking photos. On long car rides I would take photos of the rain drops running down my window an the sun shining through the sun roof. As I grew up I learned to use a real camera and would ride around my Grandfather’s farm taking pictures of anything in sight. Now the real climax is that on my 15th birthday, I finally got a camera of my own, an the rest is history. That camera rarely leaves my side when it comes to going to new places. It experiences new things with me and helps me remember them forever. I have grown so much as a photographer with that camera and hope to continue to grow and never stop. This independent study is a new experience, and my camera will be with me every step of the way, and hopefully it will snap a couple memories that will stay with me forever.
