Week Six!

Another great week and the first full week of Unit 2! This week I continued reading The State of News Photography: The Lives and Livelihoods of Photojournalists in the Digital Age and actually finished it on Thursday. Overall, I think this study was super interesting and I learned a lot about the lives of photojournalists. It also helped me know more about the different careers I might want to go into one day. I also conducted an interview with Tamara Lackey an extremely multi-talented women based in Chapel Hill. She is a photographer, Nikon Ambassador, and founded the non-profit organization Beautiful Together. We talked all about her career and I learned so much about what it takes to be a photojournalist. She gave me some amazing advice and even offered to let me take pictures at her animal sanctuary in Chapel Hill! Some many exciting things happened this week and I cannot wait for the next!
