Week Five!

This week was the first full week of Unit 2! I have been editing photos from Friday’s Senior Night and I have been able to implement some tips Mrs Effron gave me in our last meeting. They have really enhanced my work and I am excited to work on it some more. This week I started reading The State of News Photography: The Lives and Livelihoods of Photojournalists in the Digital Age By Adrian Hadland, David Campbell, and Paul Lambert. It is a scholarly article that analyzes data from a survey taken of over 1,000 photographers around the world. I have learned about the male-dominated industry of photojournalism from self-employment to working for big corporations. It was brought to light a lot of things I never thought had to do with photojournalism. I hope to learn more as a I continue to dive into the lives of other photojournalists. Another great week and a great start to Unit 2!
